Granite Hot Springs, located 30 miles southeast of Jackson, WY, is tucked away in the Gros Ventre Mountain Range, just under 7,000 feet above sea level. Early settlers in the region dug a pool to collect water. The Civilian Conservation Corps enhanced the hot springs pool in 1935. In winter, the water temperature may be up to 112 °F (44 °C) degrees and can only be access by snowmobile or dogsled. Granite Hot Springs offers visitors beautiful views of the surrounding Bridger-Teton National Forest and is the perfect place for some needed R&R, after days of skiing and snowmobiling.
